Prime Minister Receives Iraqi Minister of Finance\
Amman, Nov. 27 (Petra) – Prime Minister Nader Dahabi received today Iraqi Minister of Finance Baqer Jaber Al Zubaidi and discussed with him ways of enhancing the bilateral ties in the various domains, mainly the economic ones.
The prime minister underlined the Jordanian stable and supporting stand for Iraq, noting to the royal directives to present all support for Iraqis to help them overcome the hard conditions they are facing.
Dahabi expressed his government’s keenness to enhance investments and trade exchange between the two brotherly countries. He also highlighted the government’s readiness to present all investment motives to increase economic chances serving the interests of the two nations and increasing competitiveness of the private sector.
The premier noted to the importance of taking needed measures to activate goods movement between Aqaba Port and Um Qasr Port in Iraq.
The meeting also touched on the financial unsolved issues between the two countries, which will be discussed by the banking and financial committees in both countries.
For his part, the Iraqi minister stressed the importance of carrying out a feasibility study to establish an oil pipeline between Hadeetha and Aqaba, hailing the facilitations presented by the Jordanian government for businessmen and investors to encourage them to invest in Iraq.
